The descriptions of the songs "As We Walk In His Light and There's An Angel On My Shoulder" should give you substantial insight about me, as lyricist songwriter writing story lines about "Inspirational Songs."

As We Walk In His Light

We are all welcome in his house
When coming in leave outside all of your doubt

In time we all come to him
Because he gives light when life’s path gets dim

And he sees every man, woman, boy, and girl

And his heart covers the whole wide world
Peace only comes to the ones that he has shown

And if you believe that he is king and that he can do anything

All you got to do is come to him

Chorus

As we walk in his light
He will show us what’s right
I know everything will come into sight

As our spirits soar to a brand new height

We all need a helping hand
When life seems hard to understand

There is someone that I recommend

Jesus Christ will be your friend

And he sees every man, woman, boy, and girl

And his heart covers the whole wide world

Peace only comes to the ones that he has shown

And if you believe that he is king and that he can do anything

All you got to do is come to him

Chorus

As we walk in his light
He will show us what’s right
He’s gonna show you everything will come into sight

As our spirit soars to a brand new height

Make sure you kneel and pray

Each and every day
Give God the praise every day

And he’ll show you the way

I know that God will show you

The way
All you have to do is believe it

The way

All you have to do is believe

Description:  My religious/spiritual roots run deep in Washington, PA, where my father's family was instrumental in John Wesley United Methodist Church, receiving its initial charter and celebrating 113 years of service. I  was a very devout member and would say, it was at the center of my life during my formative years with no outside pressures. This lyric songwriting story line, is my way  paying homage to those who pray and have prayed in this warm loving sanctuary.  Carlton Thompson's music production fits the lyric like a glove.

There's An Angel On My Shoulder

Where ever we begin

It all comes around again

We never lose anyone

They just move on to higher ground

Chorus

There’s an angel on my shoulder

We get closer as I grow older

She keeps whispering in my ear

Only through love is heaven near

Before she said good bye

My grandmother called me to her side

She told me she would always be my guide

And in my dreams, I would see her from time to time

Back then I really didn’t understand it

Now I could never take her love for granted

From her gift I have been truly blessed

Because she touched my soul with her spirit

Repeat Chorus

I know as long as I am here

She will always be there

Keeping her watch over me

Making sure that I believe

Repeat Chorus

Description: This lyric songwriting story line is about my Great Grand Mother, Narcissa "Jenny" Brown (my mother's grand mother), who is one of the people myself published book on AMAZON title "Lyric Line: Thinking Out Loud Is Anyone Listening?" is dedicated to. She was also my roommate, protector, and first "Spiritual Advisor." A rough acappella vocal  production of this track has been recorded..

For Us He'll Always Be There

Open your eyes to see a brighter day

Please open them to see a better way

We know we can’t hide from the light

In our hearts we know only his way is right

Chorus

He is watching over you

In all the things you do

If we show him that we care

For us, he’ll always be there

You can run as far as you can

The weight of your load only he knows

When the burden becomes too heavy

Turn your heart and soul toward heaven

Repeat Chorus

After he has laid our troubles to rest

We’ll know we’ve passed another test

Showing him, we have kept our faith

In his house, we’ll always have a place

Repeat Chorus

Description:  I always try to encourage those who have not found a religious or spiritual path that they should do so. But always remember to be devout and faithful in their walk, not everyone's is the same , we all evolve, and should be taught the meaning of aphorisms, metaphors, and parables. But they should never be driven from the path!
