In this section I showcase several songs that I wrote the lyrics with Steven Vactor. He and I have traveled down some of the same roads and have had some similar life experiences. Steven without a doubt is one of most gifted and muti-talented creative people I personally know. I'm honored and grateful we had this time together to created these memorable songs.
I been walkin’ after midnite
I been searchin’ for my angel in white I’m just a dreamer; I’m just a dreamer
I dream about everything, everything, everything
I been searchin’ for my angel in white I’m just a dreamer, I dream about everything, everything
Darkness, darkness be my pillow
Won’t you look beyond me
See my shadow
I just a dreamer
I dream about everything (repeat line)
Once upon a time
Lord knows I had a dream
Once upon a time
Lord knows I had a dream
When I sleep at nite
I see stars shinin’ bright
Don’t wake me
Cause I don’t wanna see
I’m just a dreamer
I dreamed about everything (repeat line)
Once upon a time
Lord knows I had a dream
Once upon a time
Lord knows I had a dream
Ain’t no angel
Gonna rescue me
She’s gonna look me
In my eyes
She’s gonna tell me
What she sees
I’m just a dreamer
I dreamed everything

Description: Steven and I wrote the lyric songwriting back story to this song while sitting around reminiscing about our experience in Granby, CO. at the first "Gathering Of The Tribes" event held by Rainbow People in 1972. The music production and producing credits belong to Steven Vactor.
Mama’s goin’ crazy
Cause she can’t pay the bills
She don’t know
Where she gets her next meal
Papa stays out
He don’t come home at nite
She don’t know
If he’s alright
Don’t you worry
Don’t you cry
You’re the strength of our heart
And the reason why
Mama’s stays home
And she cleans all the clothes
We take it for granted
And that’s how it goes
She’s not bitchin’
But she wants to run away
She goes to church
Every Sunday
Don’t you worry
Don’t you cry
You’re the strength of our hearts
And the reason why
Mama’s goin’ crazy
Cause she can’t pay the bills
She don’t know
Where they get their next meal
Papa stays out
He don’t come home at nite
She don’t know
If he’s alright
Don’t you worry
Don’t you cry
You’re the strength of my heart
And the reason why
Repeat Verses

Description: Steven Vactor and I have known each other all our lives and have traveled across the country together. Growing up in Washington, PA we encountered and observed some of the same social, economical, and racial experiences. One of these experiences was seeing single parent mothers struggling to maintain households while raising their children. We wrote the lyric songwriting story line to this song while reminiscing and reflecting on how it was when we grew up there. The music production and producing credits belong to Steven Vactor.
She clipped my wings
And now I don’t fly
Everything she told me
Was a whole bunch of lies
I wake up
In the middle of the nite
Wonderin’ if everything
Is gonna be alright
I wanna know
Where she goes
I wanna know, know, know, know
Where she goes
I’m so tired of bein’ alone
But my love is so strong
I just wanna cry
Instead of sayin’ good bye
Because I’m tired of so many lies
I wanna know
Where she goes
In the middle of the nite
I wanna know, I wanna know
Where she goes
She clipped my wings
And now I don’t fly
Everything she told me
Was a whole bunch of lies
I wake up
In the middle of the nite
Wonderin’ if everything
Was gonna be alright

Description: Steven Vactor and I wrote the lyric songwriting back story to this song sitting around drinking beers. We started by talking about some of the female relationships that we had and in some cases how we had been played by being mesmerized by the attraction. LOL We came to the conclusion that week men can't handle strong women and vice versa. The musical production and production credits belong to Steven Vactor.
